MS Bike Tour

At the finish at Carleton U. Sunday morning

I successfully completed my 11th (2008) MS Bike Tour to Kemptville and back the weekend of August 9 & 10. In spite of ominous forecasts the weather was about as close to ideal as it can get for cycling on Saturday and I arrived at the Agricultural College in Kemptville @ 12:15 with no flats or mechanical incidents. And even though there was an overnight shower, I stayed dry and warm in my tent. After a 7:35 start, I managed the roughly 65km route back to Carleton U. the following day by just before 10:15AM under mostly gray skies, but, other than a couple of brief sprinkles and puddles from the overnight rain, it was a dry ride. My total distance for the weekend, including a bit of riding around in Kemptville and riding to and from Carleton University was 212.8 km.

Thanks to everyone who pledged! Together, we have contributed $1,200 to the MS Society for their support programs and research.

The total amount I collected in pledges for 2008 was $1066. But that was last year, and now I'm gearing up for the 2009 tour. Click here for more information about how to join the ride or to add your pledge and support my ride and the MS Society. Return to E-T Family Home page
